Two Years of Growth, Challenges, and Leadership at CIT VERICASH

Growth rarely happens within our comfort zones. Sometimes, the experiences that challenge us the most become the ones that shape us the most.

As I closed my professional chapter at CIT VERICASH on January 28, 2026, I looked back on two years filled with challenges, valuable lessons, meaningful relationships, and personal growth.

My time at CIT VERICASH was much more than a job title or a set of responsibilities. It was an experience that challenged my thinking, strengthened my leadership skills, and taught me the importance of trust, teamwork, and accountability.

There were long working days, complex technical challenges, critical decisions, and moments when the pressure was high. But there were also achievements worth celebrating, conversations that changed my perspective, and colleagues who consistently supported one another.

From strategic discussions with senior leadership to informal conversations during lunch, I experienced a working environment that encouraged transparency, open communication, and the confidence to challenge ideas constructively.

One of the most valuable parts of this journey was supporting critical services and teams associated with the UBA Mobile Banking Application.

Working in such an environment reinforced an important lesson: behind every application, transaction, and technical service are people who depend on its reliability.

It reminded me that service delivery is not simply about systems, incidents, or performance indicators. It is about reliability, trust, ownership, and the people affected by every decision we make.

These experiences helped me become more thoughtful in my decisions, more confident in handling challenges, and more aware of the human side of technology and leadership.

I am sincerely grateful to Ashraf Zaki, Hanney Ishak, Hatem Othman, and Sherif Elgamal for their leadership, guidance, and support throughout this journey.

My appreciation also extends to every colleague I had the privilege of working alongside.

A special thank you to Mai Refaey, whose support and genuine care helped create a culture where people felt valued, not only as professionals but also as individuals.

Looking back, I believe the greatest value of these two years was not limited to what I accomplished professionally. It was also in the lessons I learned, the relationships I built, and the way those experiences changed my understanding of leadership.

Leadership is not about having every answer. It is about listening, taking responsibility, making difficult decisions, and helping people move forward together.

As I moved toward the next chapter of my career, I carried these lessons with me, along with genuine appreciation for the people who made this experience meaningful.

Thank you, CIT VERICASH, for two years that pushed me beyond my comfort zone and helped me grow.
